Could this mean India finally gets the Xbox One S on October 3? We’ve emailed Microsoft India for comment and will update this post when we hear from the company.

Some notable aesthetic highlights of the console include transparent red stone circuitry on the bottom and a dirt and grass colour scheme for the top.

In an interview with translated on popular gaming forum NeoGAF, he stated that Nintendo has agreed to this and have been “pretty pragmatic and understanding.”

“We’re tying everything together with Xbox Live. So you log in with Xbox Live…,” he trailed off, further being pressed by the website if this would include the Nintendo Switch to which he said:

“Yes. That’s pretty unique as well! But everyone that’s in on this, all the platform holders, have been pretty pragmatic and understanding of that what we’re trying to do is create a good experience for the players. We needed a good system to connect everyone, and Xbox Live is a good system.”

At the moment its unclear if India will even get the console at launch. Reason being the Xbox One S – which released globally last year, was to release in the country in April according to multiple retailers. It was pushed back further to account for GST. And while GST has been implemented, Microsoft India has not replied to repeated requests for comment on the Xbox One S or Xbox One X India release date, let alone pre-orders. But if you reside in India and want to order the Xbox One X, you could do so from the aforementioned websites and use our handy import guide.

Keep in mind that you will be paying a premium though. Considering that Microsoft’s India plans for the Xbox One X and Xbox One S are yet to be known, this could be a better option if you’re hankering for the latest and greatest from Redmond.

Final Fantasy XV Windows PC Version Revealed, Out ‘Early 2018’

Final Fantasy XV is coming to Windows PCs as Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition. The news was announcing during Nvidia’s press conference at Gamescom. It will be available for purchase on the Windows 10 Store, Steam, and Origin.

The PC port will feature “4K high res textures, Dolby Atmos, realistic turf, advanced hair simulation, combustible fluid, fire and smoke simulation, advanced shadow alogrithmns, high quality ambient occlusion, Ansel screenshots,” and more according to gaming blog VG247. Nvidia claims support for upto 8K resolution as well as HDR10.

Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition release date has been said to be “early 2018” with all its downloadable content (DLC).

Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition recommended specifications

  • Monitor: supports 4K and HDR
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce 1080Ti
  • CPU: Intel i7 3.4GHz or Ryzen 7 1700
  • RAM: 16GB
  • HDD: 170GB

The need for 170GB of hard drive space seems ostentatious as does a 1080Ti. We’re guessing that this is for playing the game at 4K and above rather than anyone looking to play at 1080p or full-HD.

Previously Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata explained that a PC version would take longer to hit than the console versions.

“We could say that something like this would take us more than a year. We should work to adapt the engine, which is very laborious, and from there to develop its course,” he said in conversation with Spanish website Vida Extra (translated by WCCFtech) prior to Final Fantasy XV’s release on the PS4 and Xbox One.

Final Fantasy XV Windows PC Version Revealed, Out ‘Early 2018’The current trend is to see games release on consoles and PC at the same time. Final Fantasy XV – earlier known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII and exclusive to the PS3 at the time, has had a prolonged development cycle of almost a decade, with a switch of directors too what with Tabata replacing Tetsuya Nomura who is working on Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III.

In March 2016, Tabata claimed the company was looking into the possibility of a PC version.

“Unfortunately we weren’t able to do simultaneous development on a PC and console version for XV,” he said in an interview with Engadget. “We had to focus on the console version and our goal was to maximize, optimise everything for the HD consoles. Once that’s done, then we will definitely take a good, hard look at PC and what we need to do, and consider all our options. But right now we aren’t decided, we’re still considering a lot of things.”

In April 2016, he stated that the PC version would be “far superior”.

“I’m quite positive about the idea of developing a PC version, but I would like to make a very different project if possible,” Tabata told French video gaming site JeuxVideo, which was translated by Nova Crystallis. “The reason I’m interested is that a PC version would propel the game to another technical level.” “I have in mind a version of Final Fantasy XV that is more technically developed. This version could incorporate things that we were forced to abandon because of the limitations of home consoles. With the PC, this would be an opportunity to release a version far superior in terms of quality and tech.”

As there are not many details available currently, we might get more details as we approach the release date.

Electronic Arts, NFL Partner on Madden NFL 18 Fan Competition for Players and Teams

NFL fans and gamers can play their way to the Super Bowl – if they’re good enough at the newest edition of “Madden NFL 18.”

Electronic Arts and the NFL on Monday announced they’re teaming up to create an online tournament involving all 32 teams .

It makes the NFL the first pro sports league in the US to commit all of its teams to a competitive gaming program, and a massive esports competition.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell calls competitive gaming and esports “one of the most exciting ways to engage a larger, younger and digitally savvy NFL audience.” EA CEO Andrew Wilson says his company and the NFL are taking their partnership “to an unprecedented level.”

Chris Halpin, the NFL’s chief strategy officer and senior vice president for consumer products, says esports competitors generally are difficult to reach via traditional media.

“It’s great that they have an affinity for football, but we’ve got to make sure we’re engaging them on the new platforms,” Halpin said.

The Madden NFL Club Championship is open to any player with an online account and the game being released Tuesday on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Players will pick their favorite team, then compete online against that team’s other fans – New England Patriots fans will go up against other Patriots fans, for example – with an undetermined number of top players advancing out of that round.

Electronic Arts, NFL Partner on Madden NFL 18 Fan Competition for Players and TeamsEach NFL team then will hold a live event for the top gamers who advanced from the online round. That event could be at the team’s stadium or another landmark in its area.

The field will be trimmed to 32 players – one from every NFL team – with those players moving on to the Madden NFL Club Championship Live Finals, a tournament at the Pro Bowl Experience.

Those top finishers then advance to play at the Super Bowl Experience in Minnesota, and the winner receives a cash prize and two tickets to the Super Bowl.

EA and the NFL ran a similar competition last year on a smaller scale. Halpin said the teams involved “loved it, loved the model,” but one of the criticisms he heard was that “my favorite team’s not in it.

“We need all 32 (teams), and for the fans, externally, it makes more sense if every team is represented,” he said.

Age of Empires IV for Windows 10 Announced

Aside from Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, Microsoft has announced Age of Empires IV. No Age of Empires IV release date or price or gameplay was revealed other than an announcement trailer that showed off various periods in history ranging from Ancient Rome to World War II.

The trailer’s YouTube description was equally vague, simply suggesting “to battle through history once more in the latest entry of the landmark Age of Empires franchise.” It’s not a novel concept, battling through time has been done by other games such as Empire Earth. How Microsoft handles this will be a point of interest for many strategy game fans.

Unlike past Age of Empires games, Age of Empires IV is being developed by Relic. The studio has been responsible for the fantastic Dawn of War series of real-time strategy games. A curious choice considering Creative Assembly – makers of the Total War franchise seem like a better fit. Both studios are owned by Yakuza and Persona hitmaker, Sega.

Age of Empires IV for Windows 10 AnnouncedNonetheless, Creative Assembly doesn’t exactly pop up as the first choice for a Halo Wars title and it did just fine with Halo Wars 2. Relic’s take on Age of Empires could be just what the series needs.

Keep in mind that like Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, you will need a Windows 10 PC to play Age of Empires IV if Microsoft’s trailer is any indicator. We won’t be surprised if the game is exclusive to the Windows Store as well. Nonetheless, we don’t think the lack of Steam support at launch would be a damper for Age of Empires fans.
